About me

My name is Boba and I am a Licensed Professional Tour Guide. I specialize in the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) and Provence (the region where I live and can't keep my love of it all to myself) as well as Paris (where I lived, studied and worked for 12 years). I speak fluent English, French, Italian and Serbo-Croat.

My job as a Professional Tour Guide combines almost all my passions: history, art, architecture, literature, cinema, psychology and travel. Besides, it is a perfect way of meeting and getting to know people from different cultures and walks of life and sharing with them my knowledge and in-depth understanding of France ("where everyone thinks he's Napoleon" – F.Scott Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night) and, in particular, of the South of France.

Hence, if you dream of a fantasy escape such as a generous sun on a blue sea drenched in the hot luxurious colors, lush gardens, sun-soaked stones and sun-drenched landscapes with silvery olives, houses in deep pastel colours and flowers spilling out of window boxes, higgledy-piggledy cobbled lanes of postcard hilltop villages, radiant mornings with alluring fragrances and strong, earthly flavours in one of Provencal markets or the stillness of Mediterranean afternoon in one of dazzling museums - do join me and appreciate how passion can make the difference between a good experience and a meaningful one.

I have appeared in the BBC series. "Great Continental Railway Journeys", accompanying Michael Portillo on his trip along the Cote d'Azur and informing him and his viewers of how influential the British and Queen Victoria in particular were in popularising this marvellous region with its magnificent coastline and agreeable climate (watch the BBC video).

My services of a personal tour guide have been recommended by Rick Steves and have been featured in Rick Steves' guidebooks for: "French Riviera & Provence", "France" & "Europe" (Avalon Travel Publishing).

I will customize your itinerary to suit your particular interest, give you information, insight and interesting stories, guide you inside all the monuments, museums and sites and, of course, maximize your eye-opening experiences and minimize your wasted time.

Traveling is not only a list of places we have been to but rather those few intimate moments we shared with persons who crossed our path in the places we have visited. – I hope you'll cross mine one day…
